Art Classes

Oil painting classes for children ages 9 years and up meet for 90 minutes once a week. In the first 3 classes students will practice basic pencil drawing skills and color theory in order to prepare them to begin working with oils. They will begin painting a still life and then may choose their own subjects for painting. Supply list will be given at first class.

Art is not just a fun activity. It encourages creativity, improves motor skills, builds confidence, develops visual spacial skills, strengthens problem solving, improves focus, and promotes perseverance. Most importantly the Lord loves beauty and the visual arts is a way to learn to see the beauty in creation by reproducing it on canvas.

Supply list will be given by instructor at first class.
