Cahaba On the Hill: Advocating for Health Centers
Cahaba Medical Care is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Alabama Primary Health Care Association delegation advocating for important healthcare policies in Washington D.C.
Our recent visits to Capitol Hill have shed light on the critical need for continued funding and support for Community Health Centers across the country. From the importance of healthcare mandatory funding to addressing workforce shortages, expanding telehealth services, protecting the 340b Program, and renewing funding for the Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education Program, our advocacy efforts are crucial in ensuring the well-being of Alabama residents and communities.
We are dedicated to fighting for policies that will improve access to quality healthcare for all, and we are proud to be a part of this important delegation. Thank you to the National Association of Community Health Centers for their support and guidance in this vital work. We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Representatives Terri Sewell and Gary Palmer, as well as Senators Katie Britt and Tommy Tuberville for taking the time to listen to our concerns and continuing to work collaboratively with us to address healthcare needs in Alabama. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who depend on Community Health Centers for their care!
